Whittier Tech

Welcome to Whittier Tech, where our students tell our story best. Since our school first opened its doors in 1973, our graduates have gone on to leading colleges and training programs and now excel in careers they first studied here. 

We educate students from 11 area cities and towns, giving them the skills and specialized training they need to pursue the careers of their dreams. Our 1,250 students choose a major from one of 22 vocational-technical fields and graduate with a high school diploma and industry certifications.

They are excelling at careers in healthcare, electronics-robotics, cosmetology, electrical , CAD drafting, culinary arts, and many others. Our 120 highly-qualified teachers challenge students in both their academic classes and vocational technical programs, ensuring they get the knowledge they need to pass certification tests as well as the English, math and science MCAS tests required for a diploma.

Our students have the unique opportunity to earn college credits while attending Whittier, and also receive valuable job experience by qualifying for paid co-op jobs as early as their junior year.

Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School is firmly committed to an academic and technical education that will prepare students with employability skills, high academic standards, and a commitment to lifelong learning.  Our commitment as a technical high school is to provide the highest quality instruction in both technical and academic programs for a diverse student population.  Our technical courses reflect current national industry standards.  Our academic and technical curriculum includes instructional strategies and materials that address the competencies set forth in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, Vocational/Technical Educational Frameworks, and National Standards.  Through wise and intelligent use of the diverse resources of faculty, administration, students and the community, Whittier has as its primary goal the total development of the student who will succeed in an ever-changing technological society.  Whittier is proud of its commitment and is pleased to be a dynamic part of the business and professional community it serves.
