The Career Technical Initiative (CTI) addresses the persistent demand for workers in manufacturing and construction/trades by expanding training capacity for Massachusetts residents. On behalf of the Workforce Skills Cabinet (WSC) and using our existing facilities and equipment Whittier is able to provide training during the summer to un/underemployed individuals. We work with MassHire Career Centers and Market Makers to engage employers to ensure our programs meet local workforce demand and to help with placement of the programs students once they have graduated.
