These four earned Excellence in Education Awards
Congratulations to our juniors -- Taylor Ann Uccello, Design & Visual Communications; Allasandra Thompson, Health Occupations; Sean Bresnahan, Metal Fabrication and Jaryd Plante, Electrical Technology -- who received Excellence in Education Awards from The Newburyport Five Cent Savings Bank.
They were nominated as sophomores by members of Whittier's guidance and administrative team based on their outstanding academic achievement and effort in the face of a personal challenge or obstacle. Newburyport Bank has provided the student recognition for 17 years and recognizes students from Amesbury High, Governor's Academy, Newburyport High, Pentucket Regional High, Sparhawk School, Triton Regional and Whittier Tech.
The four students were honored September 28th during a luncheon at The Phoenix Room in Newburyport. Whittier's Principal Chris Laganas, Director of Guidance Kristine Morrison and Guidance Counselor Rachel Rossi attended the celebration.
