This year's Parent's Night has 3 programs going on during the evening of Nov. 17th.
For Freshman parents, a discussion on how to help your student choose his or her vocational/technical area will be held in the auditorium from 5-6 p.m. Feedback from last year's event was overwhelmingly positive - Ms. DeSalvo and vocational instructors will be on hand to discuss how parents can support their children as they make their shop selections.
For all parents, as part of our ongoing Above the Influence campaign, Health Instructor Ms. Grover will host a special event in the Health Room (Room 2126) from 5-6 p.m. called "Hidden in Plain Sight". This interactive display demonstrates a typical youth's bedroom, and all the places that teens may hide the signs of substance abuse.
Lastly, Parent's Night will run from 6-8 p.m. During this time, parents may meet the teachers that their children see every day. Visit their classrooms, get a brief overview of their programs, and, if needed, make arrangements to meet at a later date for a more in-depth discussion. Parents should bring a copy of their child's class schedule, or request one at the main office when they arrive.
We hope to see you for these important events.
