Five MVPs celebrated at CAC football banquet

Seventy football players and their coaches enjoyed lunch at our school restaurant today at the CAC Vocational Sports Banquet. Five Whittier football players received MVP Awards presented by their Coach Kevin Bradley. They are: Junior Kevin Bradley, quarterback; Senior Corey Greaney, defensive back and running back; Senior Sam Rebinskas, defensive back and wide receiver; Senior Adam Marino, middle linebacker and running back; and John Rose, defensive and offensive tackle.

CAC Commissioner Al Costabile praised the entire group, saying "You should be very proud of yourselves because you're the ones who made the plays and you are doing something very positive with your lives. You are all all-stars. You've made your families, your schools and your league proud."

He said the league has a top-notch reputation and is highly respected in the Commonwealth. "We're known to play clean, physical football. I'm grateful to the coaches who are teaching life lessons through football that you will be able to rely on for your entire lives."

He also thanked the culinary arts students who served their lunch at the Poet's Inn Restaurant and their instructors Ms. Sue Josephs and Ms. Cathie Baines.
