Here is a chance to make a difference in the lives of those with cancer. Join Team Whittier Tech Wildcats, and be part of our 5th year of participation in the Haverhill Relay for Life.
Since we formed, our team has raised nearly $10,000 in the fight against cancer. To celebrate our 5th year, our goal is to sign up at least 50 students, staff, and their family members and friends to join us and raise $5,000, a thousand dollars for each of our five years. The walk is June 9-10 at Northern Essex Community College, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday and continuing for 24 hours until 3 p.m. on Saturday.
You don't have to be present for the relay's entire 24 hours. Come for an hour or two after school on Friday or Saturday and join the more than 500 walkers who find inspiration in this annual event. Luminarias will be made and lit on Friday after dark in honor of loved ones who have died and those fighting cancer. One of our students has submitted a poem for the ceremony.
Every donation goes toward the American Cancer Society's mission to celebrate life and save lives. It doesn't take much to make a big difference. Whittier's Interact Club, with Adviser Ms. Josephs, has already joined our effort. For more information, contact Ms. Grover firstname.lastname@example.org or Ms. Bragg.
