Ava, Caine, and Dino are students in our Culinary & Hospitality program. They were nominated by our administration team after helping to put on a breakfast in honor of their culinary instructors who were awarded as Employees of the Month. They shared: "
Our hospitality and culinary team were selected as the Employees of the month for December. Staff members selected for employee of the month receive a certificate to the Poet's Inn. Since the hospitality and culinary team would normally handle this, the admin team decided to prepare and serve them breakfast. Ava was a huge help in setting up the conference room for the breakfast. Dino and Caine helped in the kitchen to prepare a breakfast of eggs, bacon, home fries and cinnamon rolls. We would have not been able to make this breakfast happen without the assistance of students!"

The February Student of the Month is Maya Lique of Haverhill, parents Amanda and Mark Lique. Maya is a junior student in our CAD/Drafting program who has earned the respect of her Advisory Teacher Kristin Bucco. According to Ms. Bucco, Maya has proven herself to be an exemplary academic and vocational student, showing great drive and passion for learning and achieving to the best of her potential. She is a skilled artist and often inspires others with her work. Talented in many different ways, Maya is also a member of our drama club and has held roles in several productions, participates in Coffee House productions, and is a member of the Art Club. We appreciate everything Maya does to contribute to making Whittier Tech a better place!
