It’s time to register for a day of summer fun at our Second Annual Golf Tournament at Bradford Country Club. The friendly competition will tee off on August 16th.

Among the picturesque 18-hole course will be a hole-in-one contest, a golf cannon and putting contest. The $125 single golfer rate and $500 per foursome includes a day of golf, lunch and prizes.

“We had a blast last year,” said Vocational Coordinator Beverly DeSalvo, who organized the day. “It was so enjoyable to be with everyone outside of school in such a beautiful setting, especially our alumni. Even better was knowing how much it benefited our students who need that extra bit of help to be successful.”

Those who cannot attend or are not golfers, are invited to support Whittier students by becoming a Tee Sponsor or Special Event Sponsor to help make the event a success. Another option is to join family and friends for the steak and chicken buffet for $30, and bid on a huge selection of raffle prizes. Last year’s inaugural tournament hosted 115 golfers, including Whittier alumni, and raised $15,000 to benefit Whittier students with college and career scholarships and other needs. All proceeds go to The Whittier Tech Educational Foundation, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization established to provide resources to improve student achievement and learning opportunities.
