WT Decorates a Dog at This Weekend's Big Dog Show Thanks to an Anonymous Donor

An anonymous donor is sponsoring a dog at this weekend’s Big Dog Show for Whittier Tech to decorate. This afternoon, Art Instructor Paul Murray and a group of Art students ventured out to decorate our Dog. The event will be held at Bradford Common throughout the weekend. In addition to the decorated Dogs, there will be a number of other side events for the public to enjoy on Saturday, October 29. These include a dog costume pageant, a hot dog eating contest, food trucks, a chance to vote on the best-dressed American Dog, and more. The Dogs will remain out for public viewing until Sunday, October 30.

This event will benefit the Whittier Birthplace, which was organized in April 1893 to preserve the historic landscape, house, and other buildings as nearly as may be, in the same condition as when John Greenleaf Whittier lived on the farmstead and to provide public access to the property so that the legacy of Whittier’s literary and abolition works may be remembered.
