WT Offering CNA Course in Night School Spring Semester!

Whittier Tech is pleased to announce the addition of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Course that will be held in the Spring of 2023.

This course prepares students for an entry-level career in healthcare with a 100-hour training program for Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Fulfill classroom hours on campus and clinical experience in a local nursing facility with Registered Nurse instructors. The skills taught in this state-licensed certificate program include vital signs, moving and turning patients, personal care basics, bed making, bed bath and feeding, record keeping, and responding to emergencies. This course is 100 hours.

Whittier Tech Allied Health Instructors Kim Malynn and Jane Moskevitz will share the teaching responsibilities for the course.

Classes begin on Monday, January 25, 2023 and will run on Mondays and Wednesdays 5pm-9pm as part of Whittier Tech’s Night School Program. There will be a mandatory clinic class held on Saturday March 18, 2023. Please note that due to Presidents Day closure on Monday, February 20, 2023, class will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

The course costs $950, but does not include the cost of the Massachusetts State CNA Exam fee.

A CORI check is required prior to acceptance into the program as well as proof of immunization for Flu and Covid-19 and a negative TB test prior to Clinical Experience.
