On Thursday, March 24, 2022, senior Emily Graham, from Amesbury, signed her letter of intent to join the softball team for the Gordon College Fighting Scots.

A four-year varsity pitcher, Emily transferred to Whittier as a junior to join the Wildcats' long history of winning softball teams. In 2021 with a shortened season of 15 games, Emily had 138 strikeouts with a 1.15 ERA and an undefeated season, showing years of practice and perseverance paying off leading the team as the starting pitcher.

Coach Cheryl Begin “Last year, Emily was the All-Area MVP for the Eagle-Tribune, as a lefty pitcher with multiple throws Emily is a force on the rubber.”

Inside the classroom, Emily is an Honors student in the Health Assisting program and boasts a 4.2 GPA, and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She currently is on cooperative employment as a CNA at the Elizabeth Calsey House in Amesbury.  At Gordon, she plans to major in Kinesiology and pursue a career as a Physical Therapist.

Athletic Director Kevin Bradley, “We’re very happy to see another Wildcat move onto NCAA College Athletics, Emily has a great future ahead of her. We look forward to following her career with the Fighting Scots.”
