Whittier Tech Recognizes Officer Ryan Connolly on SRO Appreciation Day

Today, February 15, is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. School Resource Officers serve as an important bridge between youth, law enforcement, and local communities. Here at Whittier Tech, we are extremely grateful to have Officer Ryan Connolly from the Haverhill Police Department serve as our SRO. Officer Connolly became our SRO on April 1, 2019 when our previous SRO now-Lieutenant Jamie Landry was promoted. Officer Connolly is a vital part of the Whittier Tech community. He is often a fixture at various Wildcat events and truly takes the time to form bonds with students and staff.

Officer Connolly has worked in the Haverhill Police Department for over 17 years.

Principal Chris Laganas recognizes Officer Connolly’s contributions to the Whittier Tech community, “I want to acknowledge Officer Connolly for all his hard work and leadership. He brings a positive attitude to the Whittier Community; he has a great rapport with the staff, our students, and their parents. He always has a quick response when resolving issues. Day in and day out he provides essential services to our school District that help us to stay safe. Officer Connolly - you are appreciated more than you know! Thank you for your service, for doing a job that puts others first, and for being part of our Whittier family.”

Whittier Tech is grateful for his service and would like to honor him on National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. Thank you, Officer Connolly!
