Whittier Tech is pleased to share the successful winter coat drive held in collaboration between SkillsUSA and Multicultural Club. The coat drive was held from November 28-January 3rd. A grand total of 50 coats were donated in partnership with Anton’s Cleaners in Newburyport. Anton’s Cleaners runs a “Coats for Kids and Families” drive every Winter. Their mission is for everyone to have a coat if they need one. Coats for Kids and Families has been running for 28 years. This year, SkillsUSA and Multicultural Club worked together in this endeavor. This collaborative coat drive helped students work on 4 essential elements of the SkillsUSA frameworks: Service Orientation, Teamwork, Responsilibyt, and Planning, Organizing, and Management.

SkillsUSA is led by Advisors Jane Moskevitz, Bruce Boiselle, and Tish Costa. Multicultural Club is led by Advisor Susannah DiMauro.
