Whittier Tech Hosts Successful Advisory Board Dinner

Whittier Tech hosted its annual Advisory Board Dinner on April 6, 2023, with an impressive turnout of around 270 attendees, including advisory board members, school committee members, and municipal leaders.

The event started with the presentation of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies by the WT SkillsUSA team consisting of all grade 9 students, showcasing their remarkable talent and skills as they prepare for the upcoming SkillsUSA State Competition.

Medical Assisting Senior Jaidyn Craig from Haverhill, the outgoing State President of Massachusetts SkillsUSA, provided an update on the organization and shared his experience over the past year as president.

Vocational Coordinators Paul Moskevitz and Amanda Crosby shared highlights from the vocational area, which demonstrated the dedication of the school to providing students with practical skills that prepare them for their future careers.

The event concluded with updates from Superintendent Maureen Lynch and CAD Instructor Scott Robertson on the new building project, which showed the school's commitment to providing a modern and advanced learning environment.

Culinary and Hospitality were the stars of the event, with the transformation of the cafeteria and an impressive dinner and dessert service. The culinary team demonstrated their exceptional skills, which impressed the attendees.

“This year's Advisory Board Dinner was a huge success, and we are delighted with the turnout and support from the community,” said Vocational Coordinator Paul Moskevitz “Our students showcased their impressive skills, and we are proud of their achievements. The event also provided us with an opportunity to update the community on the latest developments in the school, including the new building project.”
