Class of 2023 Awards
Earlier today, we had the honor of hosting the Senior Awards ceremony, where we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our graduating seniors. Each academic and vocational area recognized a deserving senior nominated by their respective departments. The event also featured prestigious accolades such as the MVA Presidential Certificate of Merit, National Honor Society Awards, Mass. Biliteracy Seal Awards, PHCC of Mass Certificate of Recognition, and the announcement of the WREA Scholarship winners. Valedictorian Victoria Dawkins delivered a speech to her classmates congratulating the Class of 2023 for all of their accomplishments. The ceremony served as a heartfelt reminder of the remarkable talent and dedication within our senior class. Once Senior Awards were over, they were “clapped out” of the auditorium by Whittier Tech faculty and staff, a time-honored tradition bringing students full circle as they were “clapped in” on their very first day of school at Whittier Tech at the beginning of their freshmen year.
Then, students and staff then enjoyed a barbecue lunch while signing yearbooks.
As we eagerly look forward to graduation tonight, we are confident that these exceptional individuals will continue to shine brightly in their future endeavors.
