Whittier Tech Celebrates CTE Month 2022

Whittier Tech celebrated Career and Technical Education Month®. CTE Month® is a public awareness campaign that takes place each February to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country. Cindy Dos Santos, Dental Assisting junior from Haverhill, “Coming to Whittier I wanted to be one step ahead of my peers, I like to plan my future out and having training in Dental Assisting allows me to gain experience now for my future career. I don’t want to go to college without knowing which profession I want to pursue, I’m most proud of my recent certification in Radiology (DNB).”

“It’s not just a month, it’s every day,” said Maddy Dawkins, CAD junior from Haverhill, “most of our shops don’t require your training to go onto college for entry level employment - you earn the certifications at Whittier. Even if you do want to go to college you have skills that allow you to excel.” If you don’t follow our Instagram handle, @WhittierTechHS, you might have missed it! During the month of February, students from all 23 vocational areas helped Mrs. Parsons layout and design their area “post of the day.”
