Whittier Drama Club Stages Production of the Play - Clue

Clue poster and props designed and curated by Whittier students

For the first time in two years, the Whittier Drama Club will be live on stage this March.  With three shows scheduled for March 18, 19, and 20, 2022 students from the club have been working hard to bring to life Clue!

Wyatt Dauphinais, Senior from Haverhill, cast as Wadsworth “Getting to see a show come to fruition after having Pippin close the week of rehearsals during Spring 2020, means the world to me to have the opportunity to be on stage again.  Knowing that Drama Club will live on again is a great feeling. What I like best about Clue, is the ensemble cast that comes together including underclassmen to create a sense of community I was missing during the pandemic.  It’s been wonderful to come together with people I haven’t seen in two years. “

Behind the scenes, a live theater production means many areas are helping to create staging, costumes, and props in true community spirit. In Carpentry, juniors and seniors built walls and doors for the major part of the staging design.  Carpentry sophomores with their instructor Mr. Mark Whittier made custom props like a pine wrench.  Our Art instructor, Mr. Jonathan Boles, sourced fabric and paint as well as other materials to help in set design and props. Mr. Porcelli is running tech, creating lights, and setting up sound for the productions. Programs, tickets, and posters were designed and printed in DVC and Graphics, while the Marketing and Business Tech students will handle sales.  Finally, Cosmetology students and staff will help with makeup and hair during rehearsals and performances.

In true Whittier fashion, when we do something, we all chip in making the most out of learning and teaching in vocational-technical high school. Tickets can be purchased at the school store both in-person ($8.00 in advance) and online ($10.00). Tickets at the door will cost $10.00.
