CTE Month Day 13, Cosmetology Instructor Ms. Calverley (Class of 1997)

For our month-long CTE celebration, we shared how students view CTE. Let’s continue looking at how some of our instructors view CTE. Fun fact, these instructors are all Whittier Tech grads!

Today, we visit Nancy Calverley (Class of 1997 - Cosmetology), Cosmetology Instructor. As a Cosmetology Instructor, Ms. Calverley makes sure students work on their Communication Skills. These skills fall under the SkillsUSA Framework of Workplace Skills. When working with clients, it is especially important to be able to send and received clear messages so the correct service can be provided. Ms. Calverley is in the salon so students are able to practice their communication skills with real scenarios.
