Whittier Tech Says "No to Plastics" at New England Boat Show

Whittier Tech is pleased to officially present our submission to the 2nd Annual New England Boat Show’s “Say No to Plastics” competition. The competition’s mission is to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our oceans by displaying student works created from recycled plastics. Our students here at Whittier used cut-up plastic bottles and plastic bags to construct a Striped Bass and a Jellyfish.

One grant winner will be announced at the show on Saturday, February 19th at 11 am. The winning team will receive a $500 grant to fund their continued environmental efforts in protecting our waterways or supporting a charity of their choice. Good luck, Whittier!

Whittier Tech’s  4' x 3' artwork is on display at this year's New England Boat Show at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center until Sunday, February 19th when the Boat Show concludes.
