Whittier Tech Celebrates Student Excellence at Annual Awards Night

Whittier Tech's Annual Awards Night, held last evening, was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and families to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our students. The event honored the outstanding accomplishments across various disciplines and highlighted their commitment to excellence.

One of the evening's highlights was the induction of 45 students into the prestigious National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). This recognition underscored their exceptional dedication and performance in their technical fields, showcasing their technical prowess, leadership abilities, and commitment to service.

Additionally, the pinning ceremony for the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) was a noteworthy moment. Six students received their pins, symbolizing their proficiency in healthcare and readiness to embark on fulfilling careers in nursing. Their hard work and dedication were acknowledged as they were commended for their commitment to providing compassionate care to patients.

The evening also celebrated:

  • Perfect Attendance: 47 students were honored for maintaining perfect attendance through the third term.

  • Scholastic Achievement: 95 students were recognized for their academic excellence during three consecutive marking periods.

  • SkillsUSA Achievements: 6 students were honored for their outstanding performance in SkillsUSA competitions. Notably, over 80 students participated in the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference in Marlborough from April 25-27, 2024. Our Gold Medalists will advance to the National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 24-28, 2024.

Overall, the Annual Awards Night at Whittier Tech was a remarkable celebration of student achievements, highlighting their dedication, talent, and passion for their chosen fields. The event underscored the school's commitment to excellence in education and the tremendous potential of its students.
